Will you meet her? On the corner... Past things mourner Of the wind and the rain And when you meet her, Will you greet her? Or just stare at her there In the wind and the rain --- Where'd you come from? Like a string, strummed So were you plucked From the wind and the waves And what is past, then? And where'd you lose it? Did she hide him In the wind and the waves ---- Will you meet her? By the water Like you sought her, Through the wind and the rain When you meet her, Will you greet her? Or just stare, past her there Towards the wind and the waves... ...

highline, licorice nicotine, flick the wrist daylight, wasted... lover, it's an easy miss bar-side, riverbed, say; where you gonna rest your weary head? oh, what a fine night... say _sir,_ could you spare a light? --- highline, licorice nicotine, flick the wrist. daylight, wasted... lover, it's an easy miss. bar-side, riverbed, say. where you gonna rest your weary head? snakebites and long sighs get off the counter, get a life. --- [i don't THINK so. huh!] [did'ya hear what she said?]

at last, at last the days will pass away not stay, anymore at last, at last the knives in your back will fade away for sure and as the dream-boat cuts the wild waters; and the sky, she delivers what you sought from her as you careen, will you give it what you outta? but the truth's harder to catch than the wind on your breath. and the salt in your lungs tastes like lies, on your tongue at last, at last the sky won't hang upon your weary back at last, at last the stars won't crane to watch you as you pass at last, at last the days will pass away not stay, anymore at last, at last the knives in your back will fade away for sure.

about

hey there! this is an album i wrote inspired by denpasei's comic "Ultramarine Weather" and a particularly rainy day at the beach. you can read the comic for free at tapas.io/series/ultramarineweather , but the rainy day, like many things, was ephemeral and can no longer be experienced. so go read the comic!

lyrics, bonus poems, and descriptions for each song can be viewed if you click on them. every song is inspired by a particular character and the sounds within their names.

big thanks to kan for giving me permission to release this album and for so sweetly corresponding with my incredibly enthusiastic fan of a younger self all those years ago! your work has been a big inspiration to me for many years (though, at this point, i'm sure you know that :)
